Darren has taken over Leary’s organic seed following his dad’s retirement. He remembers growing up on the home farm, visiting other organic farmers as a child and decided that sustaining the business going forwards despite Brexit was keeping the faith and doing his small bit for organics. So far Darren has found recycled boxes for delivery, waded through Brexit, and successfully traded with his dad’s help during the handover.

Carel Bouma and family farm 2.5 meters below sea level on the Flavorland Polder in Holland. They have been supplying us with organic onion, shallot and garlic sets since 1996 and are committed to keeping their farm close to nature.

Laurence converted the family farm to organics in 1975 and produced the first commercial fully certified crop of organic seed potatoes in 1993. He worked as a specialist advisor for The Organic Advisory Service and was managing the production and distribution of organic seed potatoes for Bioselect UK from 1999 to 2014.
